More to add to this week. Last night I got to go to a screening of Al Franken's God Spoke, which was hilarious. The coolest part was that the three filmakers, D.A. Pennebaker, Chris Hegedus, and Nick Doob, who made this documentary were all there, and earlier in the day for my History of Film class we got to have a private Q&A session with them and watch some clips from their other films. A list of which is pretty impressive. They're the ones who made "In the War Room" covering Bill Clinton's campaign for presidency, and is to this day considered one of the finest political documentaries. But of course, they've also done lots of non-political things, including the famous "Don't Look Back" documentary on Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix (you know the famous shot of him lighting his guitar on fire? yeah, that was them), David Bowie in his last performance as Ziggy Stardust, and Alice Cooper and band's first live performance ever.

Anyways, after that I met up with Sam, Christina, and Kelley at the showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show in the gym, which was fun, especially since they handed out little bags with props to throw/blow/shake during certain scenes, much like people do at the live screenings.

aaah! I love RHPS w/ props! Kayla and I used to go to this old theater where 20 people would show up and we'd all watch the movie while they would 'perform' it for us. The props were the best part!
