There is seriously something wrong with me. 2/24/2008 05:30:00 PM

I am THE worst procrastinator EVER! Or I guess that would be the best at procrastinating, but the worst student ever?

Whichever way the cookie crumbles, the results basically equal out to = I suck.

It is SO hard to motivate myself to get homework done early these days. I had all day yesterday and today to get 2 assignments done. I planned on doing my Digital Special Effects stuff yesterday, and Internship Journals today. HOWEVER---once I found out my Special Effects project wasn't due for another week, I suddenly scrapped those plans. It's not like I couldn't have still gotten it done, since I'd planned on it anyway.

And it's not like I was particularly tired or lazy. Instead of doing my homework, I washed the dishes (mine AND Sam's, without her asking or me offering even) and cleaned the bathroom, and then decided to do some reading.

Not any of the reading required for my Women's Studies class mind you (5 chapters due on Tuesday) but instead, about 4 chapters of an Alice Sebold book I'm reading for pure entertainment.

What the hell! Really? I mean, I'm actually really enjoying some of the books I'm reading for my women's studies class, but the mere fact that it's for a class makes me not want to do it until the last minute. My brain is so f-ed up.

February Will Rock! 2/01/2008 01:43:00 PM

Okay, so as hard as it is to believe that we're already one month into the '08, I'm excited that January went so fast.

Only because this month is gonna own me. For reals.

Just listen to this line-up:

Well, starting tonight, I have my friend Kara's Quarter-Life Crisis b-day part-ay (no she doesn't think she's going to live to be 100, it's just a catchy title) held at the MeatLocker (Kat, Alyssa, & Will's apartment) which means a good 40 people or so should be there. Plus, they have a strobe light, plenty of available dancefloor space, and good music, so a good time is guaranteed to be had. Oh, the addition of liquor also helps usually.

Tommorrow, I'm going to the Barack Obama rally in town. Though I won't be voting in the Missouri caucus, I'll take any chance I can get to hear this man speak---I also went to the Hillary rally a couple weeks ago, to try and be as objective as possible (though at the time Hillary would have been behind both Obama and Edwards on my personal ballot). Don't worry, it was supposed to start at 7:00 and she still wasn't there at 10:00pm when we left, so there wasn't even a chance for her to try and sway my opinion.

Next Thursday, is Reba and the KC in concert. At the same time. Together. On Stage together the whole time. As long as I make it another week, I can officially die happy after seeing Reba live. Seriously, a childhood dream is about to come true. LOVEHER!

Then, the following Sunday I'll be dead center, eye-level with the highly offensive, abso-abso-lutely HI-larious, Ms. Kathy Griffin. Self-coined D-lister and (gay)man's-best-friend. I can't wait. She'll bring the funny for sure.

Finally, if I can find a way into the sold out Sara Bareilles show at Blueberry Hill the week after that, I will be one very happy lady. I ended up getting tickets for all the other events listed above first thinking...Sara's tickets are only $12, I can get those later, it's not like anyone in St. Louis knows who she is anyways.

I was wrong. I'm sorry SaraB.

But how freakin' awesome is my Febs shaping up to be? Pretttty awesome, I'd say. For you (anonymous reader whom I make no presumtions about) or someone like Maggie who hates Reebs (how!?), and has no idea who Sara Bareilles is (though I don't know her stance on Obama and Kathy G) you might not be so excited. But lucky for me, I do. I mean I am. Uhh...yeah.
