I love Photoshop. 7/11/2006 08:33:00 PM

Today I feel less like I'm bursting with news or feelings or just random ramblings to share, but to try and keep myself posting daily (one of my new goals), I still wanted to come and write at least something.

So I thought about it, and what I came up with was, "I love Photoshop". Even when I'm not trying to be all uber-creative and make artsy fartsy things for my own enjoyment, it is generally just a great program to get what needs done, done. Sometimes I think I take it for granted. Especially since I never had to spend the $180 that you normally exchange in gratitude for the program (free is the way, my friends).

That's pretty much it. But I suppose I could share some of the last things I did with the program a few weeks ago for my grandparent's anniversary. Why not?
Click on the thumbnails to see the full pics:

The first one is a photo/memoir I had printed and framed for their present, and the second is a gift/frame I gave to the 5 kids.

Then here's two desktop wallpapers I made for my dad while I was in London...

And just because I found them after forgetting, haha. Two wallpapers I made for a band I love, Trading Yesterday.

mmm...i hate you for not having to pay for photoshop...but in any case, i do love the black and white family thing and the first wallpaper for your dad. very nice. how did you make the trading yeterday green wallpaper look like it is crosshatched? did you put some sort of filter over it, or layer with some type of transparency thing or something?? i really liked the effect.
