Anything Can Happen If You Let It

Since I was pretty insistent on not cleaning up any of this mess, since I had nothing to do with it---even the trashc/crap in my room (can't help it, I don't have a door to shut to keep people out) it only figures that I end up having to do so anyways.

Yeah, so my roomate really does pick the worst days to trash the apt. This morning after Ruth left I found out that a guy was coming in an hour to inspect all the windows so of course, even though I don't cause the mess, the apartment looking like crap reflects badly on me regardless, so I had to clean it up instead of finishing my spanish homework.

Just like last time after a party, Supriya (our landlord) got back in town and wanted to check up on the place. So while she went to make copies of the keys, I got stuck rushing to clean the place again, and hide all the bottles of liquor that were all over that once again I had nothing to do with.

And the time before that, when I was gone for a while, come back to the place trashed, with loads of dishes, dirty floors, and within hours of returning find out an appraiser is supposed to come look at the place. So even though I was gone for a couple weeks I had to clean up the mess that was definitely not mine (since I cleaned before I left).

Have I mentioned I can't wait till this semester's over?

Here I Am, Once Again... 10/29/2005 10:15:00 PM

No, not torn into pieces. But a little pissed off.

This would now be the 2nd time that my roomate decides to tell me last minute (at least it's not like last time, as people walked through the door) "Oh yeah, I'm having a party tonight." Not that she asked for permission or anything in the first place, you know, but even a little advance, say maybe a day or a couple hours would be nice. That way I'm not sitting on the couch doing Spanish, looking confused as people in Halloween costumes start wandering into my apartment (apparently this one was a Halloween party).

It really wouldn't be so bad except for the fact that, 1) I have to get up at 7am on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays to work--unfortunately these are the official "party" days and there's nothing to do about that. 2) I don't know more than 4 of the 50 people that show up to these parties, and 3) I don't drink. And if I did hang out and drink in costume and have a party, it wouldn't be with a bunch of strangers who I've never met before.

So really I guess, thank god for our library being open 24/7, that way I can waste some time, maybe get some homework done, and maybe take a nap before seeing if it's safe to return home around 3am. If it weren't, I would probably be forced to succumb to the force that is Super Wal-Mart or wander around whatever other 24 hour stores I can find.

But that truly does suck. I don't even know what to say to try and do about it. That's not right of Ruth to do that to you, she has to realize that she's not the only one in that appartment, you both pay the rent. Too bad it's not a dorm so you could complain to your RA. If you ever need to release some of that anger feel free to call and vent. Hope that today is better than yesterday. Later.

Only I did not know this untill about 2 hours after I talked to you. I think the whole looking for Vodka period would have been a good time to bring up the fact that people were coming over, right? It seems to follow a connected tangent line from that convo.

OH! YAY! 10/17/2005 01:31:00 PM

I just got my flight Itinerary and it looks like I fly out to London on January 18th! WEEE! And I may be confused, but it looks like I come back on May 6th! YAY! Not only do I start 2nd semester late, but I get out early too! What a great B-day present that will be! We should throw a partay, for Happy Birthday/Welcome Home Steph!

KC Stealing my Life? 10/03/2005 10:11:00 PM

Okay, so why is this video here?

Well, besides the fact that I love The KC, the song, "Because of You" is lyricly my life since I was 5 yrs old, and every word of it explains my feelings/fears/memories surrounding my parents and their marriage/divorce.

And then the video, on the other hand, represents a completely different time I went through this again, definitely stealing direct scenes from my life (only with my 2nd dad, and minus the suitcase...it was an army duffel-bag), and even going into some of the fears/doubts I sometimes have when I think about my future/family.

So, I don't know. That's why. Because I relate to it so strongly, why not use it as the journal I could have written, and pimp the song at the same time for The KC? Take a Gander ;)

btw, just speaking as a music lover, I love how the song is written so that it almost starts out with the "because of you's" appearing like a good thing, and then ironically moves into the "because of you's" actually causing more harm then help.

and just speaking as a girl in general, how hott (yes two t's) is hubby? I just want to eat him up.

I so wish that i could get the full effect of the post, why must you continue to post things that require sound??? You know that i don't have sound so i just end up making up my own things. The video looked really sad. Now i'm going to have to find a way to see it on something other than my computer. Thanks for continuing to use your blog, i love the insight. Too bad that the rest of us don't post as much. Hope all is well.

Eh, I guess it doesn't bother me that others don't post much, bloggin just may not be there thing. For me, personally, it's just something I like because it's a way to get "things" out there. Whether people read it or not isn't really my goal, but if they do, and it does give them some sort of insight to me, then that's cool and I'm all for it.
