Okay, so I've got a few things here that I'm going to split up into a couple different posts.

First of all, I think I've finally come down to a final two options of what I want to get for a tatoo. I just have no idea how I'm going to decide between the two. Maybe eventually I'll have both.

One is the phrase "Universal Soul" which I became instantly infatuated with, when Abby, Beca, Erin and I stumbled upon this stand in Camden Market the final weekend before we left. By this point I was almost out of money, and couldn't afford to buy the homeade t-shirts that this group was making for charity (so they were like £25-£30, which is understandable to pay for the materials and give enough to charity, but in my bank account would have taken $50-$60). All of the sayings and images they had were so cool though, and the other 3 girls all got one. The dude working the stand was super nice too, I felt so guilty.

The other option, is "Gra Dilseacht Cairdeas" an Irish-Gaelic phrase that's generally reserved for Claddagh rings either as wedding bands, or very serious friendship rings. Literally translated it stands for Love, Loyalty, and Friendship, which I think would also be appropriate for a serious reminder to myself of what's important in life, so I wouldn't mind making that commitment to myself rather than a partner. Of course it looks much cooler written in Gaelic script than whatever font this is in, and I think would be cool written around my wrist (still in a circular band form).

both good ideas, just make sure you're ready to commit to having a permanent tattoo on a very visible spot like your wrist. i'd love to have something on my hand but i'll never have the guts to do it.
