Look up concerts of course.

I have been here for 3 hrs, with 2 to go, and I've only had 3 calls...Friday's are slow. SO you can't blame me...really...I would have eventually run out of things to do.

Okay, well, to start off; Today I heard that Kelly Clarkson is going to be in St.Louis on a theater tour (rather than arenas--which is awesome, closer, more intimate>>now don't take that in a dirty way...I am strictly speaking as a concert goer and my better musical experiences), and I wondered to myself which venue she would be at instead of the Savvis Center, and that made me think of The Pageant where I will be attending the Modest Mouse concert in 2 weeks. So I went to the Pageants website, just cause I'm bored at work, and who's name do I see listed above the Sold Out Modest Mouse date? KEANE!! Apparently they are going to be there next Sat. and tickets are still available....and I decided I AM GOING!! How can I not!? For $17.95 and a $2 door charge? OF COURSE!

So now I get to see Keane, and Modest Mouse, and Holly and Charley are going to shoot me. Their fault they weren't geniuses and dropped out of high school to come live with me in the STL.

So THEN, I was like, hmmm, I wonder who else is gonna be in the area that I haven't heard of yet. (This one is more my own particular pleasure as the first chick mentioned, but I need to express joy nonetheless) So I went to this cool web-site Will told me about once, which lists any and all performances at any venue for any number of upcoming dates. And halfway down the page into April/May, I see ALICIA KEYS!! Which is great alone, but she's playing at the FOX!!! Where I haven't been yet, but Mica has described and recommended it to me, as well as a multitude of music and stage lovers (and my professors), and apparently its amazingly beautiful (think Shakespearean balconies and stage setup) and has GREAT acoustics. K, pictured that? Now add Alicia Keys with a baby grand piano....huh? Now doesn't that seem like an opportunity too grand to pass up? Well, I think it is.

So basically, in conclusion, I will be poor throughout my stay here in the city, and will have to keep missing Gimore Girls and Alias, to attend work to earn more money, which I will so desperately need, but then spend on more concerts....yep. That should sum it up ;)
