Something Needs to Be Done 9/11/2004 05:20:00 PM

Okay,

I've decided that someone needs to be responsible for alerting Steph of what time the Husker games are gonna be on. I dont ever hear this stuff up here, so then I miss it, and that sucks. I nominate Reid. He would remember that I think. No offense to you others, but c'mon...he's a boy.

So I got my Psych paper back the other day, and I got a 9 out of 10 points. I was very surprised, especially since I spelled my professors name wrong on the cover sheet. Heehee, woops. (My mom wrote Halsizer once on a piece of paper, and it stuck with me...or maybe she did write Hulsizer, and I read it wrong...) I also got my poem back... 86% wasnt to thrilled with that, but I suppose it's okay for not really following the assignment. We were supposed to write a poem like an imitation of one we read...I took that as write something similar, that "feels" similar when you read it, but that is a different poem. Apparently we were supposed to "parody" the poem (I wish she would've used that word) and write one practically identical. Same amount of syllables in each line, same punctuation, and structure, etc. Basically just substitute a few words/synonyms here and there. Which I didn't do. But I wrote my poem in the same style as his, so I guess I got points for that. Which I have to appreciate. I'll just have to ask for clarification next time she asks us to write an "imitation". I would've assumed that what she wanted us to do was pretty much plagerism...and she said it kinda was, but that it was okay, cause she assigned us to do it.

Anyways, I wish I had my books from English with me. Especially when my teacher talks about grammar, which she doesn't know much about. Yesterday she couldn't figure out how to spell "appositive" correctly. And I think she was giving us some wrong information about Subordinate Clauses. I didn't say anything, but I knew exactly where to find it in my English book...which I dont have, so that doesn't help much.

Hey! If Mrs. Bond gets my blog address, I think I should get her e-mail address, so I could ask about these things if I need to. Again, no offense to you others, but...c'mon...she's Mrs. Bond....

I'm running out of things to type, and getting hungry, so I'm gonna go eat now.
